Eric Rigby Named to National AICPA Committee

Eric M. Rigby, CPA/PFS, partner and founder of The Rigby Group, has been appointed to the PCPS (Private Companies Practice Section) Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for a three-year term (2007-2010).

Founded in 1887, the AICPA is the national professional organization for CPAs in the United States and currently serves more than 340,000 members in business and industry, public practice, government and education. The PCPS, “The Alliance for CPA Firms,” exists to make practicing CPAs and their firms more successful through practice expansion, management development, staffing and advocacy resources and special projects. PCPS Executive Committee members are typically managing partners of AICPA-member accounting firms.

Eric Rigby is a Louisiana native with nearly 20 years of professional experience in accounting, tax services, business consulting, litigation support, and financial planning. He is a 1985 accounting graduate of Louisiana State University, became a licensed CPA in 1989, and attained the Personal Financial Specialist designation in 1997.
